Software and informational resources only, or can this include hardware?
Does this topic seek to pilot only software and informational resources, or can the “technological solutions” also include the implementation of hardware in order to, for example, provide a first-mile/last-mile connection to public transit, or to access grocery stores directly?
An app or software tool can be useful for those within the service area of public transit, but if there is a first-mile/last-mile problem, or no existing transportation option to get them to the grocery store, software tools alone cannot help them.

Technology ownership should not be a barrier. The proposed research will develop a technological solution that can provide access by connecting individuals to public transit resources, as well as to public transit, to decrease the impact of food deserts and increase access to healthy food options in low-income areas located in inner cities and suburban/rural areas.
