Speed limit and pavement
What is the speed limit range at the bridge needing load posting enforcement? If needed by the enforcement system, may we lower the speed limit?
What kind of pavement is at the end of the target bridge, PCC or AC? If it is AC pavement, may we install a section of PCC pavement for the system?
Does the pavement conditions at the end of the bridge meet ASTM E1318-09 specifications?

Speed limit ranges may vary as bridges could be located on high speed as well as low speed roads.
Lowering the speed limit will be up to the speed enforcement authorities but it could be suggested as part of the proposed system, although the system should work at any speed, otherwise its use would be limited and not marketable. Pavement type would likely be AC as that is the predominant type but the system should be proposed to be used anywhere a bridge is posted which could have PCC approaches.
If PCC pavement is required for the system to work, permission to install PCC pavement will need to be worked out with the facility owner. The marketed system package presented/implemented could include installing PCC pavement on the approach with the installation.
