    Thank you for your question. The intended end users are truck drivers and maintenance shops for commercial trucks.

  2. Please specify requirements for LiDAR eye safety such as wavelength and peak/average laser power.

    Thank you for your question. Both the Technology Maintenance Council (TMC) which is part of the American Trucking Association (ATA) and SAE International have recommended practices for tire inspections. There are Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) that define items like minimum tread depth and inflation. That said, this project has the potential to influence all of these practices and regulations. It is also important to have a historical view of the tire in this project.

  6. For this topic will there be a tire dataset provided? If so what would be a rough magnitude estimate of the size of the dataset?

  7. We have a technology that combines Lidar with ultrasonic sensors to inspect the tire, is such a technical approach allowed?
