FTA COVID-19 Recovery Discussion Forum

As a result of a court order, effective April 18, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) January 29, 2021 Order requiring masks on public transportation conveyances and at transportation hubs is no longer in effect. Therefore, CDC will not enforce the Order. CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings at this time. These changes do not preclude a transportation operator from imposing its own face mask requirements. Please follow the guidance of your local transit agency/authority.

In addition, effective immediately, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will not enforce its mask-related Security Directives. TSA is also withdrawing its Security Directive 1582/84-21-01E, which was issued on April 15, 2022, and was scheduled to take effect on April19, 2022.

This forum offers a platform for the peer-to-peer exchange of transit ideas and practices during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. It also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions and request and share resources with the transit community. This forum is provided for peer-to-peer exchange only. Commercial posts are strictly prohibited and will be removed.

  2. Account Statement Tax declaration

There is no possibility to get an account statemenent for my ctrader copy accounts, is this right? I already contacted my broker(icmarkets) and they said, its impossible for them to create such a statement. On ctrader copy I can't see any option as well. Thats a big problem, because without these statements, its not possible to make a tax declaration. Any suggestions?

  3. Positive Regular ADA/Paratransit Client

Happy New Year! Seeking guidance and best practices for when a transit agency learns of a regular paratransit client (with subscription trips) contracting COVID (i.e., testing positive and voluntarily sharing that with us).

Specifically, our team is seeking guidance on whether 1) the transit agency can temporarily refer them to medical services or local health department to mitigate the risk of exposure to other customers and to our operator; 2) the transit agency can require a negative test result before allowing them to resume their regularly-scheduled services?

Requiring a negative test result has become standard practice for other sectors including…

  5. Question: For cutaway buses, is it safer to transport with all the windows open?

    Hello,
We are a little city here in California and use cutaway buses for our fixed route and paratransit services. A question has arisen. Is it safer for bus operators to drive with all the passenger windows open? We do have limited seating to keep up with social distancing. One thing that we have found though is that with all the window's being open and it being summer, the bus does not really stay cool. Thank you for your time.
