Positive Regular ADA/Paratransit Client
Happy New Year! Seeking guidance and best practices for when a transit agency learns of a regular paratransit client (with subscription trips) contracting COVID (i.e., testing positive and voluntarily sharing that with us).
Specifically, our team is seeking guidance on whether 1) the transit agency can temporarily refer them to medical services or local health department to mitigate the risk of exposure to other customers and to our operator; 2) the transit agency can require a negative test result before allowing them to resume their regularly-scheduled services?
Requiring a negative test result has become standard practice for other sectors including businesses and schools.

Remote patient monitoring has revolutionized the way caregivers perform their duties. With this innovative technology https://zenbit.tech/healthcare/patient-care-and-monitoring-solutions/ doctors can now receive real-time data transmission about their patients, enabling them to provide timely interventions and treat patients without leaving their homes. This system has brought a new level of convenience and comfort, as patients can now receive care and treatment from the comfort of their own homes, while doctors can efficiently monitor them without being physically present.

For people with disabilities who can't take the ADA-compliant RTS fixed route bus for some or all of their travel, paratransit is a shared ride public service meant to provide a safety net.
