Since the research topic allows trusted communication technologies beyond V2X, can a system that does not rely on connected vehicle connectivity still be considered responsive if it delivers secure, location specific advisories?

    Proper V2X communication technologies that can deliver advisory messages to the drivers are considered responsive. Developing innovative communication technologies is not the priority of this topic. The SBIR applicants can adopt existing secure and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
